Monticello Museum

The offices of The Monticello College Foundation are located in The Evergreens on the Lewis and Clark Community College campus. The Evergreens, formerly the Monticello College president’s home, provides an appropriate setting for carrying out the ongoing activities of the Foundation. It also serves as a museum where the heritage and artifacts of Monticello and Captain Benjamin Godfrey can be preserved.

In the past year several alumnae visited and a number of persons doing genealogy work called or wrote requesting information. Tours of The Evergreens were provided with brief talks given on the history of the college.

Visitors and alumnae are always welcome; however, the office is staffed only part time and prior arrangements must be made.
